"famous for the brazilian cheese bites "

Caseiro Gourmet caters in the Triangle area many of the delicious samples of Brazilian Cuisine.  They have a location in Durham where partners Raquel and Rosana lead the introduction of the "pão de queijo" cheese breads into the US market.  Available in the frozen food section of WholeFoods groceries or direct from Caseiro Gourmet.  If you came to one of our opening receptions, you experienced their food and refined service.

Chamas (Portuguese for “Flames”) first opened its doors in August, 2004 in Brightleaf Square in Durham. After six months of renovation, Chamas brought to Durham a new and exciting dining experience: the Churrascaria - the Brazilian way to serve meat.  Churrascaria (shoo-rah-scah-REE-ah) is the name used to describe a restaurant that serves meat, mostly grilled, and Rodizio is a method of serving the different cuts of meat that originated in the south of Brazil in the early 1800's.

The concept is to serve a wide variety of different cuts of beef, pork, lamb, chicken, etc., in succession, to each diner individually right at their table, therefore there is not a traditional menu. The restaurant features a fixed-price continuous tableside service.

“The Passage to Civilized Living” is a journey we invite you to experience for yourself ...

PORTO was created by its founders, Emily Barrett and Michael Perry, in 2004 and quickly has become
THE destination for furniture, lighting, home accessories, and fine art in the triangle’s newest shopping experience, the new North Hills, and beyond. Vibrant colors, rich textures, and extraordinary murals by creative partner, Clark Hipolito, further accent and canvas the store.

Açaí, The Brazilian Energy Drink

Sambazon is the first worldwide supplier of Açaí and other exotic rainforest fruits. By bringing these fruits to you, Sambazon helps local economies and maintains the integrity of the rainforest. Sustainable harvesting of rainforest fruits is one of the surest ways to protect bio-diversity and help preserve the Amazon Rainforest.  Sambazon donates a percentage of profits from every sale to help support the Amazon Rainforest in Brazil.  Sambazon juices are available in the frozen food section of WholeFoods.  The juices are available in a concentrate form and are easy to use to make delicious smoothies.  Using an ancient Amazon warrior's recipe, they add a touch of pure Brazilian Guaraná to make a blend for a powerful energy drink.
